Hi! I’m seneca (she/her).

  • I am passionate about lactation support and have been helping families feed and nurture their babies since 2008 in the Pacific Northwest.

  • I am an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). Prior to that, I spent many years a CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor) with the Healthy Children Project and over a decade as a peer counselor with La Leche League International.

  • I am a mama to 4 unique, creative and hilarious teens/young adults.

  • When I’m not hanging out with your babies or mine, I love to spend time adventuring outdoors by land (hiking, climbing, MTB) and by sea (paddleboarding, surfing, lazy river floats). I love coffee and chai in equal measure and I can’t imagine life without music.

  • We are a neurodivergent family and I am very familiar working with children and adults on the Autism/ADHD spectrum.

How it started…

My personal struggles with breastfeeding sparked my passion for pursuing lactation work. Each baby came with their own set of challenges and I remember so well how overwhelming and emotional that “4th trimester” time was. Skilled, empathetic lactation support and making connections with other parents experiencing the same struggles helped me feel less alone.

As I’ve worked with families over the last 15+ years, they have taught me that supporting a parent’s emotions about feeding their baby matters just as much as skilled lactation help. I’ve learned that compassionate, attentive listening makes as much difference as a latch check.

Maya Angelou brilliantly said, “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” I know what a world of difference it made in my own life to feel heard, understood and supported in my postpartum era and my hope is to pass that on to every client I have the privilege to work with.
